How to tell if you have had the coronavirus? In Qvalitas Medical Centre, you can now get tested for coronavirus antibodies and find out. You can provide a blood sample drawn from the vein to determine whether you have coronavirus antibodies.
Antibody testing (IgG)
IgG antibody testing shows the counterreaction your body has had after coming into contact with the virus. Most people develop antibodies between the second and third week of the illness after developing symptoms.
It is possible to have the COVID-19 disease, caused by the coronavirus, without having any symptoms or displaying only mild symptoms. This can be detected by analysing the blood for antibodies.
Even though the existence of antibodies indicates that the person has had COVID-19, there is currently insufficient information on whether the antibodies grant immunity.
€18.5 plus a €5 fee for the blood sample (total €23.50)
The blood used to perform the antibody analysis is drawn from the vein.
Reminder for patients
- There is no need to refrain from eating or drinking before the test.
- Visitors will have their temperature taken before the appointment and they will be asked to fill in a questionnaire on their health status.
The results are uploaded to your online Patient Portal digilugu.ee, which is accessible with an ID card.
